07.02.04 - On line registration is now closed. On site registration begins Sunday, July 11, 3:00p.m.-8:00p.m.

06.30.04 - Arrival Information

Be sure to arrive in time to join us for the Welcoming Reception, Sunday, July 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The reception will be held on Lincoln Field (downloadable Campus Map).

The Registration Desk will be open in Sayles Hall from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and re-opens at 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Shuttle Service from the Conference Hotels (The Biltmore, The Holiday Inn, and The Radisson) will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening and beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday.

The Conference opens at 8:00 a.m. Monday morning in the Salomon Center Room 101.

Beginning at the bottom of the Exit 2 ramp off Interstate 195 East, look for "carbon2004-Brown University" direction signs.

Campus Security can be reached at (401) 863-3322 for emergencies or if you require assistance with directions.

Those staying at the Inn at Brown or the Vartan Gregorian Quad dormitory should either bring their confirmation letter or plan to show identification at check-in. For late arrivals, after midnight, go to the Vartan Gregorian Quad, Building A at 101 Thayer street. Dial 3-3322. Public Safety will respond, let you into your room.

Messages for participants may be left at the Registration Desk at (401) 863-1367. Messages will be posted on the Notice Board in the Salomon Center.

06.25.04 - Register for Accompanying Persons' Day Tours. In order to offer these tours we must guarantee a minimum number of persons for each tour by June 25, or they will be cancelled. Once cancelled, it is highly unlikely that they be can rescheduled. REGISTER TODAY! You have until June 25 to cancel and still obtain a full refund if you should change your plans.

03.11.04. - On-line Registration is now open! [Ed: Registration is now closed.] Please make sure you register by April 30, 2004 to receive a discounted rate. The on-line site also provides for registration for all daytime events in the Accompanying Persons (Daytime) Social Program. Also note that early combined registration for the Conference and the Workshop on Carbon Nanoforms on Sunday, July 11, will save you half the Workshop price. However, please do not register for the Workshop until you have requested and received an invitation. Click here for details.

01.28.04 - THE TALL SHIPS ARE COMING! Beginning during the Conference and immediately after from July 16 - July 19, 2004) 11 "tall ships" from all over the world will be at the Goat Island Marina in Newport, Rhode Island. On the 19th there will be a "Parade of the Sails" as they depart. Make allowances in your travel schedule to take advantage of this opportunity.
